Popup Stopper

This handy little program runs in the system tray at all times and stops popup windows from appearing. It's a very cool utility, a must have for all surfers.

The program is called Popup Stopper, and it's by a company called Panicware. There is not much to the program. Just install it, answer a few questions and forget about it.

If you need to change any parameters, just right click on the system tray icon and open up the "control panel" (above).

Rita has the following to say about Popup Stopper:

"I have found the perfect surfing tool and want to share with you all!

It is called Pop-Up Stopper. What it does is block those pop up ads from opening and you can surf to your hearts content. One thing I must warn you about is that when a page opens in another window, it blocks that too. So what you will do is hold down the control key and click the page again and it will open.

This little program resides in the systray so you have complete control over it. Want to surf without it? Just click on the little icon and a circle with a line through it will appear on your icon and your pop up stopper will cease to work until you tell it to work."
